Plan beyond launch day
Software maintenance and support with clear responsibilities
Software needs attention as users, dependencies and operating requirements change. MCC Softwares offers post-launch updates, fixes and support, with coverage and response arrangements agreed for each engagement.
- Issue triage
- Planned updates
- Release verification
01 / The purpose
Launch is a milestone, not the end of ownership
A working application can still need changes when browsers, dependencies or business rules evolve. Without defined responsibilities, a small issue can become a prolonged interruption while teams work out who should investigate it.
Maintenance is a planned way to manage that change. It distinguishes faults from new requirements and gives stakeholders a shared process for reporting, prioritizing and reviewing work.
02 / The scope
Agree on what support includes
- Issue handling: Define where problems are reported, what information is needed and how severity is assessed.
- Updates and fixes: Identify covered applications and dependencies, along with release approval responsibilities.
- Operational boundaries: Clarify whether hosting, backups, restore testing or third-party services are included or separately managed.
- Changes: Separate corrections from new features so estimates and approval are explicit.
Support hours, response targets and any service-level commitments must be confirmed in writing. This page does not promise 24/7 coverage, guaranteed uptime or a fixed resolution time.
03 / The process
A careful route from report to release
- Record and triage. Describe the affected task, expected behavior, actual outcome and business impact.
- Investigate safely. Review authorized logs and reproduce the issue without exposing sensitive records.
- Test the change. Check the reported fault and nearby workflows before arranging a release.
- Deploy and verify. Use an agreed release window and recovery plan, then confirm the affected workflow.
When requesting help, provide reproducible steps and de-identified examples. Do not send passwords, patient records or production secrets through the public contact form.
04 / Relevant experience
Support informed by development work
MCC Softwares develops applications for clinical records, business operations and government workflows. The published portfolio provides context for the systems the team builds, while the technology overview describes its development tools.
Supporting an existing system still requires a technical review. Source access, licensing, documentation, hosting and third-party dependencies affect whether a support engagement is feasible.
05 / Your questions
Maintenance questions, answered
Can you support software built by another provider?
It can be considered after a review of the code, documentation, access rights and dependencies. Acceptance is not automatic, and an assessment may be needed before defining coverage.
Are new features included in maintenance?
Not necessarily. The agreement should distinguish bug fixes, dependency updates, routine assistance and new development. Additional scope needs explicit approval.
Who is responsible for backups?
That must be agreed between the application owner, hosting provider and support team. Backup existence and successful restoration are different checks; responsibilities should cover both where required.
